Cold foil can be transferred to surface on a web-fed or sheet-fed printing press in-line with cold foil unit/module. On the printing process, the cold foil is adhered to a substrate first and over-print by the CMYK stations of the press, thus creating any color in metallic finishes. Cold foil is a high speed process whereby the foil is bonded to an UV or conventional ink, so there is no need for a stamping die.

A narrow-web cold foil from Univacco is designed for labels, but it also applies perfectly on packaging with wider web fed cold foiling press model, such as UV flexographic printing, UV web-fed offset printing and UV web-fed letterpress printing.

The over-printable narrow-web cold foil, Univacco CF4.6 Series, provides high gloss, stunning metallic visual outcome from fine definition to broad area. Univacco CF4.6 Series includes CF4.6R-A and CF4.6S, which is applied on labels, flexible packaging, shrink sleeves, and in-mold label (IML).

The narrow-web cold foil CF4.6 Series supports a wide range of substrate by doing sophisticated surface treatment on corona and primer, which allows different printing parameters adjusting on the printing plate, the UV coating weight control by anilox roller, and the nip roller pressure. The CF4.6 Series is cost efficient on good adhesion with UV ink and glue, less UV Glue loss.

The CF4.6S has a good shrinkage and clear sizing to keep metallic effort for shrink sleeves application in reverse printing process with certain conditions.

Non-absorbent surface papers. All types of label stock and shrink sleeves.ex. PP, PE, PETG, OPS, etc.

Gold/Matte Gold, and Silver/Matte Silver.
